Dun dun dun - Vlog!

This explains some things I mentioned on my blog as well. Vimeo is really weird with closed captioning, so I decided not to waste my time on that - the target audience is Hearing people anyways. Don't forget to turn up the sound, and I hope you enjoy!

  1. Hanna, you've come so far! It's really nice to see your passion and your interest in ASL and deaf culture. In the summer, I attempted to learn ASL too (I also watched Vicars's videos on YouTube), and it's nice to see someone else learning it and becoming great at it! Your past videos (of the Romeo and Juliet balcony scene, and of basic lines) definitely displayed your progress and were so fun to watch! How was learning ASL different from learning another language (German)? How

I still think that in the future you should work at a summer camp for the deaf and the hard of hearing, and maybe you could help deaf children learn ASL!

Hope you're having fun at Regionals!

  2. Hanna! Loving the intro! I love how you incorporated actual sign language in the vlog! I'm not that familiar with the deaf community or with ASL, and the vlog really showed what that was all about and I got a much deeper understanding about the subject. I also love the Romeo and Juliet balcony scene and everything behind the scenes! It really showed the process of learning ASL and showed a "you in action."

I love your comments on the deaf community and your support for it! I'm excited and am looking forward to your ted talk!

  3. Wow Hanna, you're doing so great. I love that you're learning not just the language, but the culture and the people as well. I know my Fuddy really liked that you were asking questions and getting to know what life is like for members of the deaf community. Your passion is so clear, and it inspires me to learn more ASL! I also loved that you incorporated sign language into your vlog. Good Job!
